Industrial Development Corporation vice-president and chief economist, Lumkile Mondi, is adamant that Africa must beneficiate its mineral resources to compete with the East's manufacturing economies.

Speaking at the 2014 Mining Indaba, Mineral Resources Minister Susan Shabangu has said that the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act Bill will promote South Africa's minerals value addition and improve the environment for business.
